This USB to RS232 converter is based on CH340 USB to serial IC. It provides a virtual serial port over USB 2.0 port. Serial signals are provided in RS232 level to both header pins and standard DB9 male socket. Once you have installed the drivers the module will appear as a normal serial COM port on your computer making it compatible with most terminal programs and development environments.
